Reported by Miras-e-Arya, quoted by Public Relations office of Isfahan Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department, at a meeting held in the Isfahan Province Industry, Mining and Trade Organization with the presence of provincial officials, Jafar Salehi said: “Considering the need for proper planning for a more prosperous trade and export in the handicraft sector, it is essential that the members of the Export Coordination Committee take necessary actions to establish an Export Management Company, set up committees for production, export, and organizational barriers removal, and apply training and studies, to create a database of handicraft exporters across the country, identify handicrafts export capacities in other provinces, modify the HS codes of handicrafts in collaboration with the Customs Administration, and the experts of Department of Crafts and Traditional Arts of the Province's Cultural Heritage Office.
Isfahan currently has 10 export tables in various fields including gold, jewelry, and handicrafts.
Also according to the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade and National Trade Development Organization, Isfahan is selected as the central province in the field of handicraft export promotion, and accordingly, the province's Cultural Heritage Department as the handler of the issues related to handicrafts on the handicraft export table is trying to identify active companies, seeking appropriate solutions to eliminate barriers to exporting handicrafts and to coordinate in various fields.
